A Cork-based physiotherapist will travel to Australia next month (AUGUST) as the official physio to the Irish team at the World Transplant Games.

Friday evening also saw a 5km road race for supporters and officials - and there was great joy in the Irish camp when Emma McHenry won the ladies race, and Colin White finished third in the men's event.

Emer Kilbride, the team doctor for the Irish team travelling to Bangkok for the World Transplant Games, will celebrate her fourth international games with the Irish squad. Dr Kilbride will travel with the team of 25 athletes to Bangkok where they will compete in the 16th World Transplant Games.
