ImageVera Frisby started Thursday off well for Ireland when she won a Bronze medal in the Petanque event at the World Transplant Games in Thailand.

It is Vera’s first time to compete in the Games, and she is likely to be hooked now after such good form on her debut.

It is speculated that Eddie may even lead the entourage in another rendition of Molly Malone tonight, as he has done on a number of auspicious occasions during the week

Record Breaking Transplant Athletes return home from 18th World Transplant Games
The 33 members of Transplant Team Ireland enjoyed fantastic success at the 18th World Transplant Games in Sweden, securing a new world record in one event and picking up a massive haul of 39 medals, comprising 13 Gold, 14 Silver and 12 Bronze.
