ImageThe Irish squad will have good support when they travel to the World Transplant Games this August. The team will have one of the largest contingents travelling with them to Bangkok.

The Irish contingent consists of 26 athletes and 25 supporters. This makes them one of the biggest groups of supporters travelling to the competition.  Supporters have played an important part in Ireland’s success in transplant sports and their buoyant and jovial approach to the Games has won many friends for the team.

The Irish are the 10th largest group of athletes out of the 40 teams in the 16th World Transplant Games.
