Vera, the former Chairperson of the Irish Kidney Association has travelled to previous Transplant Games as a supporter but this will be her first journey as a competitor. She will take part in the 3000m walk, ten pin bowling and petenque singles. Paul will be competing for a medal in the 5,000m walk, ten pin bowling (singles and doubles) and the badminton doubles. The Chairman and the honorary treasurer of the Irish Kidney Association will compete in the World Transplant Games this August. Chairman Paul Donohoe and honorary treasurer Vera Frisby, will compete in their first World Games in Bangkok. Both athletes have received kidney transplants. Features
