Mike is from Rosscarbery in Cork. He joined Transplant Team Ireland in 2010. Mike will be competing in the following events:

Badminton Mixed Doubles
Badminton Singles
Discus
Shot Putt
Ball Throw

Mike won the following medals at last year's European Games:

Silver in Badminton Singles
Silver in Badminton Doubles
Bronze in Shot Putt
Bronze in darts

Mike will be accompanied by his wife geraldine who volunteered at last year's European Games.

Mike is a liver transplant recipient.
