ImageThe Irish team performed superbly in the ultra-competitive Badminton arena, which was the focal point of Wednesday action here at the 5th European Transplant & Dialysis Games in Wurzburg, Germany.
The arena was extremely warm, which proved taxing for all players, but when a long day of competition came to an end, Ireland could boast four medals – John Cormican, Deirdre Faul, Harry Ward and Mick Dwyer.

ImageDysart man John Cormican will compete for Ireland in the World Transplant Games for the eighth time this month. The carpenter received a kidney transplant in 1984 and has competed in every World Games, apart from one, since 1991.
