Hugo is from Donegal and is a well known character in his local community of Clonmany. 

Hugo's events at the Games are:
  • Singles Golf
  • Pairs Golf
  • Petanque Doubles
  • Ten Pin Bowling Doubles 
Hugo has competed at previous World Transplant Games and is a regular on the irish team for the 5 Nations Transplant Golf Tournament.   His gold medal winning match in Petanque at the 2007 Games was won of the memorable highlights of our week in Thailand.

Hugo is a kidney transplant recipient.

Record Breaking Transplant Athletes return home from 18th World Transplant Games
The 33 members of Transplant Team Ireland enjoyed fantastic success at the 18th World Transplant Games in Sweden, securing a new world record in one event and picking up a massive haul of 39 medals, comprising 13 Gold, 14 Silver and 12 Bronze.
