There was a major honour for the Irish contingent at the 17th World Transplant Games in Gold Coast, Australia, when team manager Colin White was elected onto the council of the World Transplant Games Federation.

This is a timely appointment as Colin will co-ordinate Ireland’s hosting of next year’s European Transplant & Dialysis Games in Dublin.
Plus it is a well-merited honour for Colin who has managed the Irish team with such enthusiasm in recent years, which explains why he got the biggest cheer of any team manager at last night's Gala Dinner.

"Colin is a fantastic manager of the Irish team, and a great advocate for transplant sports. We are so lucky to have him," said team captain Mick Dwyer.
Colin joins his Irish colleague Mark Murphy - Chief Executive of the Irish Kidney Associaiton - on the council of the World Transplant Games Federation.
