Day two dawned with rain but it was not the focus for our team. With our golfers, cyclist and bowlers in action we had a busy day ahead.... It is the seamless way in which our supporters deploy themselves across the different venues that is a joy to behold. The team is bonded and everyone recognises that we are here for each other.

The cycling unfolded as a game of tactics as the cyclists toyed with each other in the early laps. John Moran broke away as part of a group of 4 and we worked on both pushing the group to keep them ahead whilst working out how to break from the group. A perfect race strategy unfolded and a gold medal was the just award.

The golfers were in a tough competition in the pairs with only one set of gross and one set of net medals. They played hard and Mick Dwyer and James Nolan came away with silver whilst the other performed very well.

The bowlers had a long day - not uncommon at the World Games!  Angela Sherlock was bowling captain and did sterling work in keeping everyone organised and happy.  On top of that she took a very creditable bronze in her category. Eamonn Malone played a stormer to come away with a bronze medal whilst Oisin O'Gorman, our World Champion from yesterday toook another World Title! He was behind at the 9 frame but pulled out a strike in the last frame to take the competition by 3 points.

A great day!
