NAME: Edward Kehoe
LIVES: Castlebridge, Co. Wexford
TRANSPLANT HISTORY: Edward received a Kidney transplant in 1983. Prior to that, he was on dialysis for two months, and he has never looked back since getting the transplant.
FIRST GAMES ON IRISH TEAM: Amsterdam 1984, hen he won silver in the 100m and 400m races. He has competed for Ireland on a total of five occasions - Signapore 1989, Austria 1991, Budapest 1996, and Nancy, France, in 2003 are the other four times. He was won medals on a number of occasions and is really looking forward to Dublin.

ABOUT EDWARD: "I am living proof that carrying the donor card has such benefits for everybody involved, from the donor to the recipient and all those related to both parties. I have had my new kidney for the past 27 years. Every time I represent my country, it is a highlight."
Edward is married to Marie, and they have three children Daniel, Jake and Amy. They also have Caitlin, who has been in foster care with them for the past four years. He works in the Environmental Protection Agency's HQ at Johnstown Castle, Wexford.
In January 2011, he hopes to run the Nice 10k in Nice, France.
