Welcome to the web-site of Transplant Team Ireland.  The team brings together people who are on dialysis and people who have had an organ transplant and they will be representing Ireland at the 5th European Transplant & Dialysis Games in Germany.  Through their participation in sports they offer inspiration to others living with organ failure and show the general population the true value of organ donation and transplantation.  To get your organ Donor Card, Free-text the word DONOR to 50050.

Every successful team has great supporters and we are no differnt.  Family and friends have shared the experience of living with organ failure and are always there to give encouragement.  We have a big posse of supporters travelling to Germany - they will share the experience of celebrating life through sport and everyone will certainly know tht the Irish are in town!

Organ donors and donor families and never far from our thoughts during the Games.  Normally, winning medals on the international stage is seen as a great personal achievement but in this case, we are all very aware of the central role the donors play - they are truly part of Transplant Team Ireland!
I hope to find a few minutes here and there throughout the Games experience to share information and a few of my thoughts.
