Today was a quiet day for Team Ireland in terms of competitions.  Deirdre Faul was our only team member in action.  She participated in the 5km Cycling Time Trial and the 16.5km Cycling Road Race.  This came after a long day on the badminton courts yesterday so it was going to be a real test of her stamina.

The weather was less than kind but it did not deter the cyclists and Deirdre lived up to her reputation as a fine all rounder when she took silver in the time trial and silver in the road race.

It was a day for people to catch their breath and get ready for a big day tomorrow.  We have people participating in Bowling and Track & Field tomorrow.  It is going to be a long one but the team spirit remains strong and expectations are high!
