‘We Live Sporty is the logo of the 5^th European Transplant & Dialysis Games here in Wurzburg, Germany.

These words jump out at you from various locations around the city, and I think they set the right tone for Games that are about highlighting the value of a healthy life for people on dialysis and for those who have already been transplanted.

In their excellent Games programme, distributed to all who visit Wurzburg for the event, the local organising committee write: “We would be very happy to see our team infect all our guests and visitors with the same enthusiasm, enabling us to cast a magic spell on this beautiful city for one week. May that spell reflect the magic of all who those people who have ever fought valiantly in their lives and, despite all of their difficulties, look to the future with optimism.”
