The Irish team for the World Transplant Games has been named. The competitors will travel to Bangkok for the 16th World Transplant Games, which will run from Saturday, August 25th until Sunday, September 2nd. The team will be led by manager, Colin White.
Hugo Boyce, Garret Campbell, John Cormican, Paul Donohoe, Rachel Eagleton, Deirdre Faul,(Captain), Monica Finn, Vera Frisby, Tony Gartland, Tony Gavigan, James Hannon, John Loftus, Terry Mangan, Daniel McCarthy, Peter Morgan, Catherine Murphy, Bridie Nicholson, James Nolan, Marie O’Connor, Paul Prendergast, Angela Sherlock, Jennifer Touhy and Emma Walsh. Ireland has had great success in previous Transplant Games and the team are hopeful of a good performance in Thailand. Events include racquet sports, golf, swimming and athletics. Many of the competitors will compete in more than one event and will also team up with a partner for the doubles competitions.
