A retired Co. Cork skipper, who stole the show at last year’s European Transplant & Dialysis Games, is off to Australia for the World Games next month – but his beloved Darts will not be on the programme.
Charlie Ryan is over the moon after winning his stunning gold medal in the darts tournament.
A Cobh man who received a new liver just over a year ago is today (TUESDAY) the toast of the Irish contingent at the 5th European Transplant and Dialysis Games in Germany – and two fellow Corkonians collected silver medals to complete a great day for the Rebel County in the darts competition.
Cork fans among the Irish contingent here in Wurzburg gathered around the internet to listen to yesterday’s thrilling clash with Kerry, in Croke Park.
