Bridie is a native of Sligo and has been something of a celebrity there since winning gold in Petanque at the 2007 World Transplant Games.  Brifie will be competing in the following events in Sweden:
  • Petanque Singles
  • Petanque Doubles
  • Ball throw
  • Ten Pin Bowling Doubles
Bridie won the following medals at last year's European Transplant & Dialysis Games:
  • Bronze in Petanque Singles
  • Bronze in Petanque Doubles
  • Silver in Darts

Bridie is a kidney - pancreas transplant recipient.
