Needless to mention, Bridie's main event at the games will Petanque, and thankfully she has an excellent pitch to practice on.

"Apart from the good weather and the excellent views of Benbulben and Knocknarea mountains, we have at the Mitchell-Curley park, the pitch is undoubtedly the best in Ireland," says Bridie, speaking of her local venue in Sligo.
