Bridie is a native of Sligo and has been something of a celebrity there since winning gold in Petanque at the 2007 World Transplant Games. Brifie will be competing in the following events in Sweden:
Needless to mention, Bridie's main event at the games will Petanque, and thankfully she has an excellent pitch to practice on.
"Apart from the good weather and the excellent views of Benbulben and Knocknarea mountains, we have at the Mitchell-Curley park, the pitch is undoubtedly the best in Ireland," says Bridie, speaking of her local venue in Sligo.
